Account Recovery Warranty Policy
Every eligible ProHub account includes our 3-Month Account Recovery Warranty.
Before an account is listed for sale, it is held by ProHub for a minimum of 90 days. This holding period helps us identify potential ownership issues before the account reaches a customer and reduces the risk of previous-owner recovery.
The Account Recovery Warranty is an additional protection provided by ProHub and does not limit any mandatory statutory rights that may apply.
1. What Is Covered?
Our warranty covers one specific event:
Verified Previous-Owner Recovery
A warranty claim is eligible when the customer permanently loses access to the purchased account because a previous owner or supplier successfully recovers the account after delivery.
This may include recovery through historic ownership information, original account data or platform support procedures.
The recovery must be reasonably verifiable by ProHub.
If the customer still has access to the account, no Account Recovery Event has occurred.
2. Standard Warranty
Every eligible ProHub account includes:
3-Month Account Recovery Warranty
Coverage begins on the date the account is successfully handed over to the customer.
In addition, every account has already been held by ProHub for at least:
90 Days Before Listing
This additional holding period is used to reduce the risk of previous-owner recovery before an account is offered for sale.
3. Premium Recovery Warranty
Customers may optionally extend their protection with:
Premium Recovery Warranty — €30
The Premium Recovery Warranty adds:
+12 Months of Account Recovery Protection
This provides:
3 Months Standard Warranty + 12 Additional Months = 15 Months Total Coverage
The Premium Recovery Warranty extends the duration of the Account Recovery Warranty only.
It does not extend the types of events covered.
Unless explicitly stated otherwise, the Premium Recovery Warranty must be purchased together with the account.
What Is Not Covered?
The Account Recovery Warranty is not a general guarantee against account bans, restrictions or customer-caused account loss.
The following circumstances are not covered:
- VAC bans
- Game bans
- Community bans
- FACEIT bans or restrictions
- Trade bans or trade restrictions
- Steam Market restrictions
- Steam Community restrictions
- Competitive cooldowns
- Trust Factor changes
- Premier Rating or rank changes
- Cheating or prohibited software
- Boosting-related penalties
- Account sharing
- Reselling or transferring the account
- Phishing or social engineering
- Malware or compromised devices
- Loss of customer-controlled email access
- Lost passwords or authentication credentials
- Loss or removal of Steam Guard / 2FA caused by the customer
- Unauthorized access resulting from customer negligence
- Chargebacks or payment disputes initiated by the customer
- Changes to Steam, Valve, FACEIT or other third-party platform policies
- Platform bans, restrictions or enforcement actions unrelated to previous-owner recovery
- Failure to follow ProHub's Account Setup & Warm-Up Instructions where this causes or materially contributes to an account restriction or loss
Important
A ban, cooldown, restriction, Trust Factor change or platform enforcement action is not considered an Account Recovery Event.
Account Setup & Warm-Up Instructions
Customers receive ProHub's Account Setup & Warm-Up Instructions during the account handover process.
These instructions are designed to reduce avoidable security issues, unusual account activity and potential platform restrictions after an account changes hands.
Customers are responsible for following the provided instructions.
Failure to follow these instructions does not automatically invalidate the warranty.
However, any loss, restriction or penalty caused or materially contributed to by failure to follow the provided instructions is not covered by the voluntary Account Recovery Warranty.
What Happens if an Account Is Recovered?
If ProHub confirms a qualifying Previous-Owner Recovery Event during the applicable warranty period, ProHub will provide an appropriate warranty remedy.
Depending on the circumstances and availability, ProHub may:
- Attempt to restore access to the original account;
- Provide a replacement account of reasonably comparable value and characteristics; or
- Provide equivalent ProHub store credit if a suitable replacement is unavailable.
A replacement account remains covered for the remaining duration of the original warranty period.
Receiving a replacement account does not restart or extend the original warranty period.
Any mandatory statutory rights remain unaffected.
Warranty Claim Requirements
To submit a warranty claim, the customer must contact ProHub Support and provide:
- Order number
- Account Key
- Approximate date and time access was lost
- Relevant email or Steam security notifications
- Screenshots or other evidence relating to the loss of access
- Any relevant communication with Steam Support
- Additional information reasonably required to determine the cause of the account loss
Customers must reasonably cooperate with the investigation of the claim.
Relevant emails, security notifications or other evidence relating to the incident must not be intentionally deleted or withheld.
ProHub will never require customers to publicly post their account credentials.
Claim Verification
A warranty remedy is provided only after ProHub has reasonably verified that the account was lost because of a Previous-Owner Recovery Event.
A login problem alone does not prove that an account has been recovered.
ProHub may review:
- Security notifications
- Account history
- Customer-provided evidence
- Steam Support communication
- Other relevant information relating to the incident
Claims resulting from customer actions, third-party compromises, platform penalties or unsupported assumptions of account recovery are not covered by the voluntary Account Recovery Warranty.
Customer Security Responsibilities
After account delivery, the customer is responsible for protecting all credentials, email accounts and authentication methods placed under their control.
Customers should:
- Follow the provided account handover instructions
- Follow the Account Setup & Warm-Up Instructions
- Secure the associated email account
- Use strong and unique passwords
- Protect authentication and recovery methods
- Never share credentials with untrusted third parties
Account loss caused by compromised customer-controlled credentials is not considered Previous-Owner Recovery.
Third-Party Platforms
Steam, Valve, FACEIT and other third-party services are independent platforms and are not operated or controlled by ProHub.
ProHub cannot guarantee the continued availability of:
- Steam
- Counter-Strike 2
- FACEIT
- Ranking systems
- Marketplace features
- Trading features
- Third-party services or platform functionality
Platform enforcement actions, bans or restrictions are outside the scope of the Account Recovery Warranty unless the loss of access is directly caused by a verified Previous-Owner Recovery Event covered under this policy.
